Keli has been with the NCO Financial Investigative Services (FIS) team since 2003 when she joined the firm as an investigative consultant. Today, in her role as a senior investigative consultant, she markets a variety of background and financial investigative services to businesses across all industries. Additionally, Keli is enthusiastic about lending her experience to clients in all facets of their due diligence efforts, as well as helping them determine the type of investigations that best suits their needs. Ultimately, her job is to give clients the tools they need to make the right decisions for both themselves and their companies, while also fostering longterm relationships with them.
Every day Keli strives to live by her personal motto: be fair to your client; be fair to your company; be fair to yourself. She believes this philosophy goes a long way in helping all three parties succeed. In one example of client success, Keli assisted a commercial real estate company which had incurred large amounts of debt due to a lease default. After a tenant moved out of their space, the property’s guarantor knew they would be the responsible party. They subsequently transferred assets out of their name, attempting to hide anything creditors might try to collect. Through Keli’s guidance, NCO FIS was able to uncover more than one million dollars in movable assets. In addition, the client was able to prove in court this act was knowingly done by the guarantor in an attempt to conceal assets.
Beyond her asset recovery expertise, Keli is also well-versed in the area of employment background investigations. For one particular banking client, their company was in the process of acquiring another bank and needed help bringing more than 100 existing employees up to FDIC background standards by the time of the merger. Keli worked closely with her client to determine the compliance standards and, in turn, ensured all employees met those requirements. She continues assisting the client on a regular basis regarding new hires of the company and its related entities.
Keli’s career has granted her valuable experience in several areas prior to joining NCO FIS, including banking and retail. Most recently, she served as a relationship manager at Bank One (now known as Chase Bank) for over a year. In addition, Keli worked for Gap, Inc. for nearly a decade, including stints as an associate manager, store manager and general manager. She attributes her professional success to listening to clients and their needs, enabling her to make ideal recommendations and offer customized solutions.
