Charlie brought his diverse experience to NCO Financial Investigative Services (FIS) in 2011. In his current role as an institutional investment consultant, he specializes in identifying opportunities for the firm to perform background investigations on hedge fund and private equity fund managers, as well as institutional investors. Moreover, he applies his knowledge of the industry, along with his relentless and competitive mindset, to make clients aware of the importance of making informed business and financial decisions.
Prior to joining NCO FIS, Charlie operated his own hedge fund, serving as the President and CIO of DHC Capital Management for over two years. His specific duties in this role included project management and trading for the innovative hybrid arbitrage market neutral equity fund. Charlie also previously held the position of senior trader for over ten years at Prime International Equities, where he was responsible for derivative arbitrage trading.
Beyond his background in the financial services arena, Charlie founded Fifth Street Thoroughbreds, a nationwide thoroughbred racing syndicate, holding the title of President from 2004 to 2008. Additionally, he served in the United States Army Rangers from 1995 to 1997 as a platoon leader and staff officer for the elite special operations unit.
Charlie is a graduate of the United States Military Academy at West Point, where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in political science in 1992. He also graduated from several military schools, including Ranger, Airborne, Air Assault, Sapper, Mortar Leader Course and Jumpmaster. Charlie holds the Senior Parachutist Badge and Thai Jump Wings.
